Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CLASSES AT THE FOUNDRY

The following Reservation and Cancellation Policy applies to our group classes as well as our safety certification classes.

Payment Required to Reserve Class Spot(s):  To reserve one or more spots in a class, payment must be received at the time of reservation. RSVP in the online system and pay with PayPal or a credit card.

Minimum Age: All participants must be 18 or older to participate in any adult-level class, activity, or demonstration. Minors may be allowed to participate in classes and demonstrations with an adult for specific sessions. Please call or e-mail us in advance of any program to find out if Minors may enroll in that particular program with parental permission.

Maximum Class Size, Minimum Class Size:  All class listings show a minimum and maximum size for each class. Classes that do not reach their minimum reservation level will be canceled. Those who have RSVP’d will be notified by email, phone and/or text as quickly as possible and a refund and/or credit will be issued.

Arrival Time and Waiver: Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start time of your class. Before starting a class, all participants must sign a Waiver and Release of Liability. We can send you this Release in an email in advance if you like – just ask. Late arrivals will be refused entrance to the class at the discretion of the instructor and will not be refunded.

Cancellation:  We understand the need for last-minute cancellations, but they are costly for us - material preparations, changes in staffing, and attempting to refill the spot last minute, if possible.

  • Cancellations made up to 8 days BEFORE a class will be subject to a standard 5% refund charge.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days BEFORE class will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
  • Changing your registration to a later listed class date is subject to a $25 class change fee.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice will NOT receive a refund - SORRY!

*NOTE*
If you are enrolled in a multi-day class, it is not the instructor's or The Foundry's responsibility to create a make-up day. Please take extra care to be available for all sessions.

Occasionally, circumstances beyond our control arise and classes must be canceled, sometimes with little advance notice. The Foundry will make every effort to reach all participants by email, phone, and text as soon as possible. In the event of such a cancellation, The Foundry will provide a full refund and cover all cancellation fees.

Weather Cancellation: If a class is canceled due to weather, The Foundry will first try and reschedule the class for a later date, but participants can opt-out and receive a refund if they are not available for the rescheduled date. Cancellations due to weather are determined by The Foundry (not by the individual enrolled), so please assume a class is still occurring as scheduled unless you hear otherwise.
